Why rotating in your PDF reader doesn’t stick
The rotate button in Adobe Acrobat Reader, Chrome or Edge only turns the view on your screen. Close the file, send it to someone, and the pages are sideways again. This tool changes the rotation stored in the PDF itself, so the fix travels with the file.
Rotating only some pages
Mixed documents are common: a report with one landscape table, or a scan where a page went through the feeder upside down. Tap the pages that need turning in the page strip, choose the direction, and press Download rotated PDF. Pages you didn’t select are left exactly as they were. Select nothing to rotate every page.
- 90° clockwise fixes a page that reads bottom-to-top.
- 270° clockwise (90° anticlockwise) fixes a page that reads top-to-bottom.
- 180° fixes an upside-down page.
Nothing is re-compressed
Rotation is stored as a single setting on each page, so the content is untouched. Text stays selectable and searchable, links keep working, and the file size barely changes. Rotations also add up: rotating an already rotated page by 90° turns it a further 90°.
