Merging documents you would rather not upload
The PDFs people combine are rarely harmless: signed contracts, bank statements, payslips, medical letters, scans of passports. Most online merge tools send those files to a server and promise to delete them later. This one reads and joins them inside your browser tab, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.
Getting the order right
Files are joined top to bottom, and every page of each file is included. If you only want some pages from a document, take them out first with Delete pages or Split, then merge the trimmed copy. A page that comes out sideways can be fixed afterwards with Rotate PDF.
What survives a merge
Pages are copied, not re-printed or re-scanned, so the content inside each page is exactly as it was. Some document-level extras don’t come along:
| Feature | After merging |
|---|---|
| Text, images, vector graphics | Unchanged; text stays selectable and searchable |
| Mixed page sizes (A4 and Letter, portrait and landscape) | Each page keeps its own size |
| Bookmarks / outline panel | Not carried over |
| Fillable form fields | May lose their interactivity; fill and flatten forms first |
| Digital signatures | Invalidated, as with any edit to a signed file |
Password-protected files can be added, but pages may come out blank if the document is properly encrypted. Open it in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and merge that.
More than five files
Each merge takes up to five PDFs, with files up to 80 MB each. For a longer pack, merge the first five, then start again with the combined file plus the next four. The result is the same as merging them all at once.

Questions
Will the merged file be bigger than the originals added together?
It is usually about the same, sometimes slightly smaller when the files shared fonts. If it is too big to email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.
Can I add photos as pages?
Turn the photos into a PDF first with JPG to PDF, then merge that PDF with your other documents.
