Common reasons to remove pages
- Blank backs from a double-sided scan of single-sided documents.
- A cover sheet, fax header or terms page nobody needs.
- Pages with account numbers or personal details before forwarding a statement.
- Duplicate pages from scanning the same sheet twice.
Keeping pages instead
If you want two pages out of a 40-page document, tapping 38 thumbnails is tedious. Press Select all, then tap the pages you want to keep to deselect them. Alternatively, use Split PDF to extract a page range as its own file.
Is the content really gone?
Yes. The new PDF is built from the kept pages only, so the deleted pages are not hidden or still inside the file. Pages you keep are copied as they are, without re-compression, so text stays searchable. One caveat: bookmarks and the document outline are not carried over to the new file.
To hide part of a page, such as one account number, deleting the page isn’t enough. That needs a redaction tool, and covering the text with a black box in an editor is not redaction, because the text underneath can still be copied.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The thumbnails and the new PDF are made in your browser, which matters most for exactly the kind of documents people trim before sharing.
Can I delete every page?
No, at least one page has to remain.
