Illustration for Strong password generator in your browser

A password generator should create long, random strings you could not invent by hand. The privacy risk is uploading those secrets to a third-party site. Mewix generates passwords in the browser so the bytes never leave your device.

Steps

  1. Open the password generator.
  2. Set length and character rules (letters, digits, symbols).
  3. Generate a candidate.
  4. Check strength or entropy with password strength or password entropy if you want a second look.
  5. Store it in a password manager—do not paste it into chat logs.

What “strong” usually means

  • Length beats clever substitutions (P@ssw0rd! is still weak)
  • Prefer random characters or a long passphrase of random words
  • Unique password per site—generators make that practical
  • Avoid reusing anything from email or social profiles

Tips

  • Prefer 16+ characters for important accounts when the site allows it
  • If a site bans symbols, generate alphanumeric-only and lengthen the string
  • Clear the clipboard after pasting into a login form (clipboard clear helps)

Limits

Mewix does not sync passwords across devices or fill forms. It is a local generator, not a full password manager.
